Coack Karl's BooklistTo succeed in ultra-endurance events you need to be a student of the sport, and the books below will help you get started. Plus, you are supporting Ride424.com when you purchase through our Amazon links. Enjoy. One of the classics of bike maintenance. If you want to ride for 24 hours, you better be tough. Loehr is a master, this is a worthwhile read. This book is one of the classics, although it is focused on road racing. Still has a lot of good info on training & how to get ready for your first racing season that is applicable to any flavor of competitive cycling event. Ned is a legend in the mountain biking world, and this book gives a good overview of the learning he has acquired over the years. But you can't order an autographed one like I have! This one has been so useful to me I hesitate to bring it to the attention of my competition, but hey, I'm good like that. |
